Getting Started

Creating your account — Direct vs. Payroll

When you create your TrackLobo account, you’ll choose a flow for your organization. This decision shapes which features and pricing plans are available to you, so it’s worth getting right from the start.

Direct

Choose Direct if you bill your own clients directly — you send estimates, collect signatures, and invoice the homeowner or business you did the work for. This is the right choice for most independent contractors and crews.

Direct unlocks features built around the client relationship: tiered estimates, online payments, customer tags, equipment tracking, maintenance agreements, and more.

Payroll

Choose Payroll if you’re a subcontractor or employee being paid by another company, rather than billing a client yourself. This flow is built around tracking your hours, work codes, and pay — not client invoicing.

Switching later

You can change your organization’s flow later from Business Settings, but you’ll need to be on the Free plan to do it — downgrade first if you’re on a paid plan, then switch, then upgrade again if needed. It’s worth choosing carefully the first time to avoid that extra step.

Signing up

You can create your account with an email and password, or continue with Google or Apple. There’s no credit card required to start on the Free plan.
